Pyr-Gly-OH

Pyr-Gly-OH combines pyroglutamate with glycine to create a simple blocked dipeptide. Pyroglutamate modifies charge and resistance to aminopeptidases. Glycine provides high conformational freedom. The peptide is used as a minimal model for pyroglutamyl effects on small-peptide structure.
